It's the Evergreen Branch Library's birthday! Take part in a day-long celebration, featuring visits from Skippyjon Jones at 10 a.m. and at a birthday-themed bilingual storytime at 2:30 p.m. The Tallgrass Express String Band will play at 6:30 p.m. In historic western dress, they sing and play a variety of instruments including fiddle, banjo, mandolin, guitar, upright bass, dobro, harmonica, and concertina. They include many of their own original songs written in traditional style about Kansas and the land and life of the Flint Hills.
