Returning to Basics

For 120 years, the Wichita Public Library has been Wichita's primary source for the Humanities.

Each year an estimated one million people visit the library. Many work in manufacturing or service industries, or are secondary or college students. They are, although few could articulate it, in search of what the Humanities offer, a unique blend of creativity, dialogue, reflection and imagination that makes our experiences understandable and defines the human condition.

Their search will lead them to learn more about themselves; it will enrich their lives, stretch their imaginations and increase their human potential.
