Kansas Library Card (KSLC)
The Kansas Library Card (KSLC) is a free service provided to Kansas residents by the Kansas State Library in Topeka. Unlike a Wichita Public Library card, it does not give access to check out any physical materials. Instead, it provides access to a series of online research databases as well as e-books and downloadable audiobooks.
Wichita Public Library staff can issue you a free KSLC from any of our locations. You will be required to provide your name and date of birth. You have the option of providing an email address. This information will remain confidential. Library staff will then issue you a card that will have a unique number. If you provided an email address, the card number will be sent to that address. You may use this number, with your date of birth, to login to the KSLC system and gain access to its resources from any location.
